and Regional Breakdown on % of Homes Previously Painted
Wood:
- Homes
not previously painted are presumably stained or clear-coated
- All
regions fell into the 80-92% range as having been painted
Brick:
- Region
with the highest proportion painted was West South Central (Arkansas,
Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas) at 54%
- Middle
Atlantic (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania) and East North Central
(Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin) regions had the
lowest proportions at 24%
Stucco:
- Fell
into the 55-80% for all regions except Middle Atlantic which was
47%
Aluminum
Siding:
- All
regions were in the 17-24% except West North Central (Iowa, Kansas,
Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota)
at 11%, and Pacific (California, Oregon and Washington) at 41%
